Babies first groom

A dog's first groom is very much a learning experience and it can be a stressful time for your pup. Extra time needs to be taken to make your pup feel comfortable and get through their first grooming experience safely. For your pup's first ever groom we will first get them used to the feeling and noises of the grooming experience. Service includes, wash with gentle shampoo, blow dry, trim around the bum and eyes and nail trim.
For best result with future grooming endeavours please make sure to bring pup in around the 10 - 12 week age and no later.
Factors that will effect the length of grooming time (and therefore final price) include:

  • ​Service selection
  • Dog size - are they small, medium or large?
  • Choice of style - longer clips will take longer than short clips
  • Dog temperament - dogs with anxiety and difficult to groom dogs will take longer
  • Coat condition - dog’s that have not been groomed for a while will take longer than those on more regular grooming schedules
  • Dog age - senior dogs require extra grooming time to make their grooming experience comfortable for them
  • Matted dogs - matting removal will take extra time
